Cor design is opgericht in 1954 door Leo Lübke en produceert al ruim een halve eeuw prachtige meubelen van de allerhoogste kwaliteit. Het motto van Cor (Latijns voor hart) is niet voor niets: alleen het beste is goed genoeg. De beste materialen, gecombineerd met duurzaamheid en vaardigheid vormen de hoofdingrediënten van de meubelen. Het Duitse design merk Cor werkt samen met ontwerpers als Friedrich-Wilhelm Muller en Jochen Hoffmann, die op hun eigen wijze een bijdrage hebben mogen leveren aan het merk.
